MPSC राज्य सेवा परीक्षा: वस्तुनिष्ठ ते वर्णनात्मक स्वरूपाचा बदल 

महाराष्ट्रातील सर्वात प्रतिष्ठित आणि वरिष्ठ सरकारी सेवांमध्ये जाण्यासाठी असलेली MPSC राज्या सेवा परीक्षा पूर्वी वस्तुनिष्ठ स्वरूपाची होती. मात्र, 2025 पासून परीक्षेच्या स्वरूपामध्ये मोठा बदल करण्यात आला आहे. हा बदल म्हणजे परीक्षा पूर्णपणे वर्णनात्मक स्वरूपाची करणे. या लेखात आपण या बदलाविषयी सविस्तर माहिती जाणून घेऊ.

जुने वस्तुनिष्ठ स्वरूप (Prelims + Mains):

पूर्वी MPSC राज्या सेवा परीक्षा दोन टप्प्यांत घेतली जायची.

  • प्रारंभिक परीक्षा (Prelims): ही बहुविकल्पीय पद्धतीची परीक्षा होती. यामध्ये सामान्य बुद्धिमत्ता, तर्कशास्त्र, इंग्रजी, मराठी आणि इतर विषयांच्या आधारे जागृती आणि क्षमता चाचणी केली जायची. या परीक्षेत उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या उमेदवारांना मुख्य परीक्षेसाठी पात्र ठरवले जायचे.

  • मुख्य परीक्षा (Mains): ही वस्तुनिष्ठ स्वरूपाची लेखी परीक्षा होती. यामध्ये इंग्रजी, मराठी, निबंध लेखन, सामान्य अध्ययन आणि निवडलेल्या वैकल्पिक विषयांचा समावेश होता.

या स्वरूपाबद्दल काही उमेदवारांनी समाधान व्यक्त केले नाही. त्यांचे म्हणणे होते की वस्तुनिष्ठ पेपरमुळे उमेदवारांच्या विश्लेषणात्मक आणि लेखन कौशल्यांची चाचणी नीटपणे होत नाही.

नवीन वर्णनात्मक स्वरूप (Prelims + Mains):

2025 पासून परीक्षेचे स्वरूप पूर्णपणे बदलले आहे. आता परीक्षा पुढीलप्रमाणे आहे:
  • प्रारंभिक परीक्षा (Prelims): ही परीक्षा पूर्वीप्रमाणेच बहुविकल्पीय स्वरूपाची राहणार आहे.
  • मुख्य परीक्षा (Mains): ही आधीच्या मुख्य परीक्षेपेक्षा वेगळी आहे. ही पूर्णपणे वर्णनात्मक स्वरूपाची असून त्यात खालील टप्पे समाविष्ट आहेत:
    • सामान्य अध्ययन पेपर: यामध्ये भारतीय संविधान, अर्थव्यवस्था, सामाजिक क्षेत्र, विज्ञान आणि तंत्रज्ञान, आंतरराष्ट्रीय संबंध इत्यादी विषयांचा समावेश असेल.
    • इंग्रजी आणि मराठी भाषा कौशल्य चाचणी: यामध्ये निबंध लेखन, पत्रलेखन, अनुवाद इत्यादी प्रकारचे प्रश्न असतील.
    • वैकल्पिक विषयः उमेदवारांना इतिहास, भूगोल, समाजशास्त्र, अर्थशास्त्र इत्यादीपैकी एक किंवा दोन वैकल्पिक विषय निवडता येतील. या विषयांची परीक्षा देखील वर्णनात्मक स्वरूपाची असेल.
    • साक्षात्कार: मुख्य परीक्षेत उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या उमेदवारांची अंतिम चयन प्रक्रियांमध्ये मुलाखत घेतली जाईल.
या नवीन स्वरूपाचा उद्देश उमेदवारांच्या विश्लेषणात्मक आणि अभिव्यक्ती कौशल्यांची चाचणी अधिक चांगल्या प्रकारे करणे हा आहे.

  • Qualifying Papers: Paper-I tests comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills in English, while Paper-II focuses on the same aspects in Marathi. These papers require a minimum of 25% marks for qualification.
  • General Studies Papers (GS-I to GS-III): Each paper covers a vast range of topics, assessing candidates’ overall knowledge and understanding of current affairs, societal issues, governance, and developmental challenges. Expect questions with diverse formats like essays, case studies, opinion pieces, and data analysis.
